Feel like you have to do all of this on your own? I know what that feels like. While I was struggling to recover, I wish I had someone who had been through everything – and had fully recovered – who would take my hand and guide me.

While I was at my lowest low, I challenged myself to discover how much recovery was possible: I couldn’t fall much deeper, so why not see what would happen if I tried to get up? I made a resolution to make a full recovery, and once I did, I would come back to help others who were feeling the same as I: lost and alone.

Hi! I’m Melanie

I sustained a “mild” concussion in 2012 when I fell off my bike. My symptoms worsened after I followed the medical advice to take rest.

Initially, I felt a lot of confusion. What was happening to me? Why couldn’t doctors help me? Did I do something wrong?

After 2 years, doctors told me my brain damage was beyond repair: I had to learn to live with my symptoms. Well, that wasn’t true!

I made a full recovery from my so-called “incurable” post-concussion syndrome, 6 years after injury. And it really didn’t have to take that long…

So now I’m here to help you recover so much faster than I did. Because I learned a lot along the way, and you can save a lot of time and frustration (or even despair) by learning directly from my mistakes.

After our initial 45-minute intake in which we determine your goal for our 3 sessions, we will get started with the 2 or 3 most important things to work on that week. These are based on your personal situation.

Once we get momentum started, we will dive deeper into optimizing your recovery environment and training your brain to target the symptoms you experience. We will tailor these to your own needs and possibilities.

During our sessions, you can ask me everything you struggle or need help with, and I will be helping you move forward every step of the way!
